Here's the weekly non vision board law of attraction story. She said she saw a video on facebook that mentioned the law of attraction, so she decided to do some research since she was unfamiliar with it. Here's what she said happened:
"I started just by writing down what I wanted to do!
I wanted to create documentary films that made an impact. I wanted to tell stories about people from all walks of life. Basically, I wanted to be a millennial Oprah. Once I finished my goal list, the next step was to believe in myself.

I researched film studios, perfected my resume and learned industry lingo. I also emailed producers, directors or anyone willing to give me a chance.

Within the month of using the Law of Attraction, I received the opportunity of a lifetime. I moved to Atlanta for a year and worked on huge movie sets, interviewed amazing people and learned the inner workings of the industry.  After leaving Atlanta, I returned to Penn State to finish my degree."

She made a vision board and here's what she said happened:

"I hung the board on the wall close to my bed so I would see the vision board before I went to sleep and upon waking...and there it hung. The vision board stayed on my wall for close to two years, and nothing happened! Zero. Zilch. I didn't manifest anything I'd painstakingly pasted on my board: epic manifestation failure.
I pulled the vision board off the wall. I thanked the Universe again for always leading me to my highest and best outcome, and I hid the board away in my closet.

Boom! Taking that vision board down was the best thing I ever did! Within two months of taking the board down, I had a full time job working from home doing work I love. The gym I longed to join posted a Groupon, offering the expensive class I wanted for less than thirty dollars. My neighbor mentioned he'd be glad to work on replacing my back porch around some other projects he had going, and he suggested an open patio to make the space feel bigger. Wow! My big three ideas on the board were happening!

I pulled the vision board out a few days ago, and I realized that not only had I manifested the work from home position, I had manifested two monitors, just like in the picture I had cut out and pasted onto my board. I had also received bunny slippers as a gift from a friend in honor of my new job."

She made a vision board after watching the secret. Here's what she said happened: I remember these specifics:
  • Passport image. At that time, I had yet to leave the country except for Canada. Those were the good ol’ days when Americans didn’t need a passport to visit their continental cousins.
  • Man bearing gifts image. I was going through a “cheap men” phase back then. In fact, I had been stuck in that phase for my entire adult life. I am not a “thing” person, but I am a woman, and like all other women, I believe that it’s nice when a man makes you feel special. And doesn’t expect you to pay “half the time” in the name of “equality.” With your oh-so-lucrative early childhood music teacher’s salary. I had an engineer tell me that once. I explained to him that there was nothing equal between a teacher’s salary and an engineer’s salary.
  • Woman with a dog image. My little Italian Greyhound was still alive (RIP Sweet Woof), but for whatever reason, I was drawn to the scene of a woman walking her scruffy terrier in the loveliest of garden communities. The scruffy terrier with strawberry blonde and white fur pictured in the image was the radical opposite of my sleek, blue fawn Iggy.
  • Teacher revealing her shocking $104,496 salary image. I began my educational career as a Montessori teacher back in 1995 and made a whopping $19,000 a year. Woot! In order to pay for my survival — things may not be important, but food and shelter are — I decided to entrepreneurialize my teaching career and designed my own performing and visual arts curriculum for children ages 3-10. I brought in a whole lot more than $19,000, but a whole lot less than $104,496.
I could kick myself for not keeping the ’07 vision board. Thankfully, I did have the common sense to save the “teachers who earn the big bucks” image.Abracadabra, zippety zoard, look at what manifested from my ’07 board!
  • My first trip abroad. To Italy. I’ve never been the same since. You wouldn’t be the same either if you had lived your very own version of Under the Tuscan Sun. *sigh*
  • An Italian bearing gifts. The Boyfriend Formerly Known asRomeo Mio (refer to bullet directly above) made the least amount of money than any man I’ve ever dated, yet he was the most generous. He also ranked up there in the fun, personality, accent, and passion (for everything!) departments. That romance was amazing while it lasted. (cue the violins) Hey, have I ever told you that my Enneagram personality type is Type 4, which is sometimes called “The Tragic Romantic”? Heaven help me. (cue the violins again) Anywho, when The BFK as Romeo Mio visited me in Arizona, his suitcase bursted with thoughtful, meaningful gifts from Italia. I could cry just thinking about it. If you want to see what he brought me, you can dig into the archives here.
  • World’s Most Precious Pooch. Woofie passed away after 14 years of faithful service as Girl’s Best Friend. I wasn’t ready to bring another dog into my life. Nope. I was too busy creating acurious, time-intensive blog project. And then… when I was minding my own beeswax… Bella picked me. Just like it’s supposed to happen, according to the rescue advocates of the world.
  • The Big Bucks. Here’s our Real World Lesson of the Day, Boys and Girls: When you’re a teacher and make a difference in the world, you work your tushie off for the little bucks. When you sell your soul to the corporate educational sales machine, you are bored to tears while earning the big bucks. Oddly (or perhaps tellingly), while I was in the corporate world, whenever someone asked, “What do you do?”, I answered, “Well… I am a teacher, but right now I’m working in sales for an educational publisher.” I responded that way hundreds of times over the course of five years. Interesting, right? Once a teacher, always a teacher. And this teacher made more than $104,496 for a spell.

She made a vision board and most of it came true. Here's what she said happened:

"It was 2006. I sat at my desk at EHTP – a nonprofit organization where I worked as an education coordinator – watching elementary school students color on construction paper. At the time, I didn’t know that I wanted to be a writer. I was always a writer; I had been journaling since 12 years old and began writing poetry at 17. But I didn’t think I could or would be here, running a full-fledged relationship website. All I knew is that I wanted to draw. But just in that moment. I borrowed some colored pencils from the arts and crafts table and began my own masterpiece.
I put colored pencil to paper and began to doodle. I drew a desk. A clear, glass vase with a lily. A wall and a picture frame and the husband, children (a boy and a girl) and wife (me) that belonged in said frame. I added another frame with a diploma. A Masters of Arts in Writing. It was my diploma. One that I had yet to earn but was thinking about pursuing.

I returned to the desk with the vase and added a book. It was my book. It had no title. I didn’t know which stories would fill the pages, but I knew I wanted to publish a book some day.

I came to and stared at the picture that I had drawn, and realized what it represented – the hopes and dreams that I had for my career, my heart, and my life.

This was my very first vision board. All done in a daze without any awareness that writing things down, drawing images, and envisioning our future has power.
Now, it is 2014. I am the owner and Editor-in-Chief of this thriving online community. I published a book. I have a Masters of Arts in Writing. I have a wonderful man by my side. The kids will come later. We’ve already discussed it.

My vision board came true. It really did happen to me."

She made a vision board in hopes of a getting a new job. here's what she said happened:
"I decided I wanted a new full-time job. I bolstered my Prosperity Guas in the fall and…

a) In mid-October, I created my version of a vision board: a very clear affirmation with sketches of it having come true. So I had sketches of me being happy and with many elements of the job. My affirmation had feeling words that I personally could relate to and a clear definition of what I wanted:
“I say ‘Woo-Hoo!’ and I do a ‘victory dance’ as I start a wonderful new job by January 15, 2012. It is less than 15 minute drive, earning $72,000+ a year, cheaper health insurance, a work space with windows, working with wonderful people, and has meaningful, stimulating, wonderful work, and just the right amount of challenge. I love it!”

b) I put it on a little table near the foot of my bed, that I could see when sitting up in bed. I did the following practice every single morning when I woke up and every single night when I went to bed, probably for 5-10 minutes each. (If I took a nap, I did it for a minute or two before and after):
I read the affirmation to myself. then I would meditate on it using each of the five senses: what would it feel like to have such a great job? what would people be saying to me to praise me? what would it look like? (look like was a bit harder for me since I didn’t know the exact type of job it would be, but I pictured smiling faces) What was a really great tasting meal taste like, one that I could associate with this situation? what would a great meal smell like, like a high quality lunch that I might bring to lunch at the new job? I also thought about what I would GIVE in exchange for this great situation, such as my enthusiasm and a lot of energy and effort to do my best…I would meditate on all this for 5-10 minutes. It was in my Career Gua of my bedroom.

I got one interview after about a month, and they liked me but the person going on maternity leave had just that morning been placed on emergency bed-rest, so they ended up hiring someone who could start the next day. I felt confused and mad at the universe…but then two weeks later, I called by two more places for interviews, and both of those jobs were BETTER than the one I didn’t get. One of them was for my dream job… and I got the job! I started work in mid January, and my salary was in the 71,000s, but a new contract in January will raise it to 72,000+…"
