She said: I wanted to own a condo in Vancouver. I wrote down every aspect and criteria that I desired in my future home. I included the type of neighbours I wanted, the sale amount of the unit, the neighbourhood I wanted to live in, the standard of living around me, the SLK that I will own to drive to attractions around my condo, etc.I wrote down every detail. However, I did not stop there. I included pictures of design features I wanted in my home. I even wrote the name of the building I so wanted to live in(I saw a unit for sale in this building 6 months prior to this exercise). After creating this vision board (setting the intention), I started to apply action to help me reach my goal. I did the same for the sale of my current home at the time. I took photos of each room and the neighbourhood and added a hugeSOLD sign to the board. Within 2 weeks of listing my current home, it was sold. At the onset of listing my current home, I did not have a new home to go to. So I decided to rent a furnished rental to carry me for 2 months until I was able to buy my new condo. I met the realtor for the furnished unit 2 weeks before my current home sold. After learning about his realty exams and talking about where I wanted to buy , we left each other agreeing to furnished rental as my current option. That evening he called me and informed me that a unit was for sale in the condo that I loved. One day before I completed the sale of my current home, I moved into my new home – the Lumiere in West End Vancouver (the name of the condo on my vision board) and Alan the realtor, made his first sale. I bought my SLK 3 months later. Click HERE for her story. |
